Shivashish Chatterjee is a Co-Founder of the DMI Group where he is a driving force behind the Group’s vision and strategy.
A 25-year veteran of international financial markets, Shivashish Chatterjee brings a wealth of experience in Global Fixed-Income trading and analytics that complements and informs DMI’s activities. Shivashish Chatterjee spent the vast majority of his Wall Street days at Salomon Brothers, a storied fixed-income powerhouse that was eventually acquired by Citigroup Inc.
One of the youngest-ever Managing Directors at Salomon Brothers and Citigroup Inc., he held a wide variety of positions spanning core research in interest rate and prepayment modelling to trading a range of interest rate derivatives and mortgage-backed securities. Shivashish Chatterjee became Co-Head of all securitised products trading in North America in 2004 before leaving in 2008 to start DMI
Yuvraja C. Singh is Co-Founder of the DMI Group, where he is jointly responsible for all aspects of the firm’s activities.
Yuvraja C. Singh brings over three decades of experience in finance to his role, with an expertise in fixed income structuring, trading, and risk management. He began his career in the risk management department at Commodities Corporation, a leading commodity and futures trading firm, now a part of Goldman Sachs. In 1995, Yuvraja Singh moved to Wall Street, trading mortgage-backed securities at Lehman Brothers and eventually running the firm’s mortgage derivatives desk. In 2000, he took on a new challenge and followed his entrepreneurial passion, becoming partner at Compro Technologies, a small software development firm in India. In 2003, Yuvraja C. Singh returned to Wall Street and joined the Fixed Income Department at Citigroup, where as a Managing Director he oversaw the agency CMO fixed rate and IO/PO trading desks.
Yuvraja C. Singh is a graduate from Princeton University’s class of 1994, with a B.A. in Economics. He currently serves on the Advisory Council of the MS Chadha Center for Global India and the President’s Roundtable at Princeton University and has previously served on the Board of Governors of The British School in New Delhi. He lives in New Delhi with his family.
Arindam Das leads the Digital Consumer and SME Finance businesses at DMI Finance.
Arindam Das has close to two decades of experience in various verticals including Business Development, Product, Distribution, Operations, Risk Management and Audit. He has conceptualised, built, and scaled large teams in Consumer, SME and Corporate Lending through Branch & Non-Branch based platforms. Prior to DMI, he was at Citibank, Merrill Lynch, India Infoline and Capital First.
He had an entrepreneurial stint as Co-Founder of On Demand local services marketplace.
He is an Economics graduate with an MBA from K J Somaiya, Mumbai.
Jatinder Bhasin oversees the Operations, Compliance, and Internal Audit for the DMI Group.
With over twenty years of finance and operations experience, Jatinder has an extensive background in strategic planning, general management, corporate finance, controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, operations, and risk management.
Prior to joining DMI, Jatinder spent over 18 years with General Electric, where he was richly exposed to several businesses (Capital, Global Operations, Energy, Lighting) in different stages of growth cycle in both developed & emerging economies across US, Europe, and Asia. Amongst many roles, Jatinder was the Chief Financial Officer for their Money Servicing business (with operations in India, Philippines, and Guatemala) and was also heading senior project management role for Global Operations across Asia Pacific.
Jatinder graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in India, before completing MBA (Finance) and MS (Operations Management) from the US. He is also a graduate of GE’s prestigious Corporate Audit Staff and Financial Management Programs.
Anmol Nayyar manages strategic relationships for the DMI Group, in addition to which he has other key responsibilities across DMI Group businesses. With over 15 years of experience in advisory and financial services and as an entrepreneur, Anmol started his career as a lawyer helping build the India practice at Ashurst in London, after which he was an entrepreneur in financial services, building cross-border Europe-India platforms in private equity and investment banking before joining DMI.
He graduated from Reed College in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Phi Beta Kappa) and holds the degree of Juris Doctor from the Northwestern College of Law. He is an active angel investor and an advisor to the UK Government in relation to entrepreneurship globally.
Pooja Malik has overall responsibility for Human Resource Management for the DMI Group.
A seasoned HR professional, with a successful track record in strategic HR leadership positions, including end-to-end HR Management in varied cultures and industries, Pooja Malik designs and implements initiatives related to HR transformation strategies, talent and performance, compensation, R&R programs, talent acquisition & sourcing, talent development and engagement programs across functions and levels, etc.
Saurabh Nigam oversees IT Operations and leads initiatives in IT solutions for the DMI Group.
He has over 20 years of experience managing IT functions in the financial services sector. Prior to joining DMI, he served as the Director IT of CRISIL Limited and has also worked at Computer Age Management Services, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies and Scandent Solution.
He has the distinction of being named amongst the Top 100 Future CIOs of India in 2013 by IT NEXT magazine.
He has a Master’s Degree in Engineering and Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Science (I.I.Sc), Bangalore.
Mr. Nicky Sharma holds a PGDM from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai, and a B.Tech degree (where he achieved first rank) from N.I.T. Trichy and has over 20 years of experience in risk management and business strategy.
He has a proven track record of establishing and leading Enterprise Risk Management (“ERM”) function, as evidenced by his work at Paytm (One97 Communications Ltd). Prior to that, at Bandhan Bank Limited, Mr. Nicky’s strategic leadership expanded beyond the Chief Strategy Officer role, where he also played a pivotal role in Business Intelligence & Analytics, Digital Banking, and Marketing, enriching his banking knowledge.
Prior to joining the Bank, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers (‘PwC’) where he spearheaded a specialized team of experts in COSO ERM and ISO 31000 Risk Management standards to design and implement Enterprise Risk Management frameworks for his clients across various industries.
Niraj Khandelwal is the Group Chief Financial Officer at DMI, responsible for the seamless integration of finance, accounts, and taxation across all business units. He ensures robust financial processes and controls, including management reporting, financial analysis, and tax compliance, while maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies and financial analysts. As part of the Senior Management team, Niraj helps shape the strategic vision for DMI and provides financial insights to the Board of Directors.
Niraj brings more than 26 years of experience in banking and financial services, having worked at Credit Suisse/UBS, IL&FS Investmart, and JM Morgan Stanley Direct.
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
Rachit Gupta is the Group Head of Treasury at DMI, where he leads the group’s liabilities function, overseeing fund-raising, investments, securitization, liquidity, and asset-liability management (ALM). His role is pivotal in managing strategic relationships with various stakeholders and seamlessly integrating strategy and execution across the group’s liabilities functions. He is responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with investors at the group level.
He is a seasoned Treasury, Banking, Capital Markets and Strategic Finance professional with over two decades of rich experience spanning both public and private sector financial services. During his multiple stints, he has led several initiatives in Treasury, Finance and Balance sheet management across spheres, size, complexity and geography.
Prior to joining DMI, he held senior positions at Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Edelweiss Financial Services and Power Finance Corporation. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Business Management Post Graduate from IMT, Ghaziabad.
Mr. Alfred Mendoza is the Director – Investments and Risk Management for Alternative Assets of New Investment Solutions (N.I.S). He has an experience of 20+ years in the finance industry as he has worked with various companies like UBS Investment Bank as Associate Director – Investment Banking, White Deer Production Company, Inc. as Principal- Family Office, Thor Equities, LLC as a Financial Analyst, Reinvest, SA as an Acquisitions Officer and New York Life Investments as an Assistant Vice President, New York Life Real Estate Investors.He has completed his Bachelor of Arts in History from Amherst College followed by a Diploma in Business Studies from the London School of Economics. He holds a post-graduate degree in Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He speaks various languages including English, French, and German.
Mr. Malhotra is CEO and Chairman of Headstrong, a global IT-based Financial Services company. He is a winner of the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurs Award and a recipient of the Albert Einstein Technology Medal . He co-founded the HCL group, one of India’s largest Info Tech corporations, in 1975. Mr. Malhotra is a member of the Executive Committee of NASSCOM, India’s industry organisation for IT & ITeS Services. He is also a Charter Member and Chairman of the Global Board of Trustees of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a non-profit network of over 10,000 members in nine countries. TiE fosters global entrepreneurship through mentoring and networking.
One of the promoter directors, Bina Singh is currently responsible for the group’s CSR initiatives. She operates a non-profit organisation for community development and has been a member of the Delhi Commission for Women, the Delhi Juvenile Board and the Delhi Social Welfare Board. She is a graduate in mechanical engineering from IIT, Delhi and holds the distinction of being IIT’s first woman mechanical engineer.
An author, commentator, public intellectual and a regular speaker, addressing the management of some of the world’s leading corporations, Gurcharan Das is on the board of several global advisory companies. He was the CEO of Procter and Gamble (P&G) India, the Managing Director, P&G (Strategic Planning) and the Chairman and Managing Director of Richardson Hindustan. After graduating from Harvard University, he attended Harvard Business School (AMP), where he is featured in three case studies.
A teacher by profession, Jayati Chatterjee is a promoter director of the company. She has a keen interest in financial services and over two decades of experience under her belt. Currently, she is a part of the company’s CSR Committee and plays a pivotal role in all the social initiatives.
Mr. Masakazu Osawa is Chief Executive of Japan’s MUFG Bank for Asia Pacific region. He oversees the safety and soundness of the bank’s operations across 18 markets in the region, spanning South Asia, East Asia, South-East Asia as well as Oceania. Mr. Osawa also has oversight of the Bank’s business promotions with the Global Corporates, Japanese Corporates and Commercial Banking business groups. He is based in Singapore, the regional headquarters for MUFG APAC. A seasoned banker with over 30 years of experience, Mr. Osawa has played instrumental roles in managing and driving MUFG’s businesses and digital strategies for growth. Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Osawa helmed and drove MUFG’s digital transformation to achieve sustainable growth and enhance shareholder value over the medium-to-long term as Head of Digital Service Business Group and Chief Digital Transformation Officer (CDTO), roles which he held for both MUFG Group and the bank. Mr. Osawa holds a Master of Laws from the University of Chicago Law School in Illinois, USA. He also has a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
Meena Hemchandra had an illustrious career of 35 years with the Reserve Bank of India. Appointed in 2015 as Executive Director for the supervision of banks, non-banking financial companies and cooperative banks, she headed various departments, including external investment and operations (which manages India’s reserves), foreign exchange department, Mumbai regional office of the banking supervision and College of Agricultural Banking in her earlier tenure. She retired from the Bank in November 2017. She holds a master’s degree (MA) in Economics from Madurai Kamaraj University, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (from ICFAI) and has received executive training on advance risk management from the Wharton School, USA.
A Chartered Accountant by training, Nipendar Kochhar is a senior level banker and financial services executive with over 35 years of experience, which entailed building, revitalising and strengthening the bottom-line profitability and growth of businesses. He has also masterminded back and front office, finance and technology operations. He has been the Managing Director of Société Générale, the CEO, Citibank (Zurich / New York), the CFO ABN Amro Bank (Singapore / Zurich) and the SVP National Commercial Bank, Saudi Arabia.
Ms. Naomi Koike is the Director of Investor Relations at N.I.S. New Investment Solutions Ltd. (N.I.S.) in Zurich, Switzerland, with over 13 years of experience in investor relations. At N.I.S., she is responsible for investment tracking, preparing detailed investor return analyses, and developing marketing materials to introduce a diverse range of investment products, from Indian private equity to U.S. and European structured credit. She also oversees adherence to corporate governance and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, including tax filings. Previously, Ms. Koike worked with the World Bank as an Assistant Coordinator at the Tokyo Development Learning Center. Ms. Koike holds an Associate Degree in Arts from a college in Tokyo, Japan, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from a university in Queensland, Australia.
